Delaware River, New York:
Type:   Tailwater
Species: Brown and Rainbow

The Delaware River is located in Southeastern New York where part of it runs along the
Pennsylvania – New York state line. From Port Jervis upstream the Delaware has some of
the best wild trout fishing east of the Mississippi River. Even thought its is a big river, the
shallow water makes it perfect for the wading angler. This is the only major Catskills River
that is not stocked with trout. The cold water from two reservoirs is home to just about every
species of aquatic insect. This is an excellent tailwater!
